The client needed oversized machinery moved from a supplier in Shanghai to their plant in Gauteng, with the equipment commissioned on a fixed install date. Any customs delay at Durban would have pushed back the whole installation.
What we did
We booked the FCL space, prepared the full import documentation up front, and lodged the customs entry before the vessel berthed so clearing started the moment the container landed. We arranged road haulage from Durban to the plant.
The outcome
The container cleared customs without a hold and the machinery reached the factory ahead of the install date. The client now routes their China imports through us.
